Which is the regulation that imposes the protection of personal data?
It is a regulation by the European Parliament numbered 2016/679 which was put in force from 25 May 2018, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and it sets a unified legal framework of protection for all the European Union state members, according to which companies and public institutions must handle the personal data of European citizens.
What are your rights according to the new regulation?
You are entitled to have a full knowledge regarding your data that we keep and process.
Whenever something from your data changes you can ask us to make the relevant correction / update.
You are entitled to ask for the limitation of the processing, especially if you do not wish to be informed of our various activities and offers.
You are entitled to ask for, and take the data that you have given us in a structured, commonly used and machine recognizable form, so that you may transfer it wherever you wish.
You are entitled to ask for the deletion of the data we keep. However, the only data that can be deleted is the one that we are not legally obliged to keep for a specified time, or to keep for reasons of public interest, or even for supporting legal rights.
